The OS Team Rhonda S. Mealor - Senior/Managing Partner
Ms. Mealor specializes in the assessment and implementation of cancer programs. She began her consulting career providing start up and management of cancer centers, including equipment and supply procurement, procedure development and implementation, support service development and implementation, and staff recruitment and training. She has assisted many hospitals and oncology physician practices over the past eighteen years and her operational experience is unparalleled. Ms. Mealor's knowledge of revenue enhancement (reimbursement, service coding, billing, and collections) techniques and processes, development of cancer center operational procedures and their implementation, capital equipment, space and facility issues provides clients with cost effective and specific techniques, procedures, and training necessary for the appropriate development, maintenance, and evaluation of quality cancer care programs.
Richard B. Taylor, Ph.D. - Senior Partner
Dr. Taylor has been active as a health care consultant since 1972 and has worked with hundreds of hospitals and physicians in developing cancer programs. In the late 1970s, Dr. Taylor was president of a consulting firm specializing in applying business skills to the cancer research and cancer care market. In 1984, he co-founded Cancer CarePoint, a healthcare consulting firm specializing in providing consultation to physicians and hospitals in the planning, development, and implementation of their cancer programs. Because of his vast experience, Dr. Taylor is uniquely qualified in the structuring, implementation and ongoing monitoring of joint ventures involving physicians and hospitals. With a doctorate in business administration and a depth of experience, Dr. Taylor has conducted workshops across the country and published journal articles on cancer program development.
C.D. 'Dunk' Pruett - Senior Partner
Mr. Pruett has over 30 years of experience in directing a number of strategic planning programs in oncology for all types of health care organizations to include major hospitals, managed care organizations such as Kaiser Permanente of Southern California, private and publicly traded pharmaceutical companies, governmental agencies including the National Cancer Institute and many major academic institutions and universities such as Johns Hopkins, Stanford University and University of California.
Kelley D. Simpson - Partner
Ms. Simpson specializes in strategic planning and development of cancer programs and treatment facilities at comprehensive cancer centers, university-affiliated hospitals and community-based hospitals with emphasis on market and financial analysis. Through her assessment of numerous hospitals and oncology practices, as well as her knowledge of Oncology Solutions’ database and industry statistics that have been studied by Oncology Solutions over the company’s history, Ms. Simpson will provide perspective regarding growth trends in hospital programs and physician practices.
Chad Schaeffer - Partner
Mr. Schaeffer has over fifteen years of oncology-related experience including ten years of experience in oncology program consulting. He specializes in the assessment of oncology market service areas, cancer program assessments, and Medicare reimbursement studies. Mr. Schaeffer works with physician groups and hospital cancer programs of various sizes throughout the country. He has been a speaker at national industry conferences geared toward oncology administrators. His extensive knowledge of market analysis, oncology service operations, financial projections, and reimbursement in hospital and physician practice settings allows him to analyze program options accurately and realistically.
Jake A. Jones, III, AIA, NCARB - Vice President of Facilities Design and Development
Mr. Jones is a registered architect with over 20 years of experience in the design and construction of commercial facilities. As Director of Facilities Design and Development, Mr. Jones is responsible for all project programming, design and budgeting and project management, including the specification and negotiation of equipment and furnishings. Prior to his current position, Mr. Jones was president of an independent architectural firm and in that capacity was responsible for the design and administration of many of OS' building projects. Mr. Jones received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois in 1973. He currently holds registration in seven states in addition to National Council certification and membership in the American Institute of Architects.
Tynan Perschbacher, MBA, MPH - Senior Associate
Ms. Perschbacher specializes in providing assistance to hospitals and medical centers in the development of coordinated, comprehensive cancer programs. Her experience includes providing strategic planning expertise and facilitating competitive, industry, and market analyses for healthcare providers. Ms. Perschbacher has conducted financial and economic feasibility studies and completed demographic and market potential reviews to determine the viability of acquisitions, joint ventures, and expansion opportunities. Her background also includes project work in physician practice management, academic medical center operations, pharmaceuticals, managed care, and government affairs. Ms. Perschbacher has specific training in the areas of cancer center feasibility, strategic planning, and oncology operational assessments.
Marcy Cent, MBA - Senior Associate
Ms. Cent specializes in assisting hospitals in the development of coordinated, comprehensive cancer programs. Her background in health care strategic and facilities planning adds to the foundation for operational planning, financial analyses and reimbursement analyses. She is skilled in developing marketing analyses, comparing utilization of services to national benchmarks, and assessing the financial impact of various models for delivering cancer care services. Ms. Cent has specific training in the areas of revenue enhancement, operational assessment (medical and radiation oncology), cancer program assessment, cancer center feasibility and strategic planning.
Ben Holland - Associate
Mr. Holland provides data analysis support for all planning and operational projects. He is skilled at analyzing and interpreting quantitative data, developing market analyses, comparing utilization of services to national benchmarks, reviewing facilities and technologies options and assessing the financial impact of various models for delivering services. He works closely with client-designated staff to ensure that all required data are appropriately identified and gathered.
Bina P. Patel,MPH - Analyst
Ms. Patel provides data analysis support for planning and operational projects. She is skilled at analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data, developing market analyses, and assessing the financial impact of various models for delivering services. She works closely with our clients to identify and gather all required data.
