In the letter, the Network acknowledges the FDA’s authority, oversight and expertise with respect to the approved indications for ESAs. However, while the FDA letter accurately describes certain portions of the ESA labeling, Acting Assistant Commissioner Mason has failed to give complete answers to several very important questions and thus, has misled Chairman Stark.
