Project Description
Located on the campus of Bay Area Medical Center, the Corpus Christi Cancer Center was completed in August 1995. The facility houses a Varian 2100 C/D linear accelerator, or a Varian Ximatron simulator, lab, pharmacy, exam suite, physician offices, multidisciplinary site clinic and patient support services, along with a nineteen station outpatient infusion/transfusion suite.

Special Features
The Cancer Center utilizes abundant natural light in creating comfortable spaces within the center. The chemotherapy suite contains clearstory windows and an original design in sand-blasted glass to create an uplifting space. The interior design palette contains soothing colors and textures. The covered main entrance drive-thru is enhanced by a pyramidal skylight.

Oncology Solutions' Involvement
Oncology Solutions assisted Bay Area/Columbia with its cancer center program strategic planning and organizational tasks. Oncology Solutions programmed and designed the Center and provided facility development project management services.Oncology Solutions also provided equipment and furnishings planning, coordination, procurement, installation and facility start-up services.
